SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE
The Sustainability Committee is a group of parents who recognise the importance of our environment and aim to educate and empower students to make decisions that reduce our ecological footprint through adopting sustainable practices at school and in our everyday lives. The Committee delivers activities and projects that aim to minimise waste sent to landfill, reduce electricity and water usage, and create biologically diverse areas at the school that increase native habitat and connect our students to nature.
CANTEEN COMMITTEE
The Canteen Committee comprises of mainly canteen volunteers, who provide support to the Canteen Manager and take a more active interest in the food that is served in the canteen. The P&C President and Treasurer are always members of the Canteen Committee, working with the Canteen manager, they ensure all employer requirements are met, so are in regular contact with the Canteen manager and authorise financial transactions.
Our Canteen committee communicate when volunteering in the canteen face to face and then formally as a group by email.
Typically, when a new menu item is added to the menu, the Canteen manager communicates that to the Canteen Committee for feedback and approval prior to the item being added to the menu. This ensures that the item meets our CPS Canteen aims.
Please note, you do not need to be a Canteen Committee member to volunteer or to make suggestions, we welcome all input from parents and students, for any feedback or suggestion email canteen@coogeepandc.org.au
