Come Be Part of This Year's Big Thong!

Have you been thinking about giving the Big Thong a go? This is your sign!

Whether you sing, play an instrument, or simply need an excuse to get a group of friends together, we’d love you to be part of this year’s Big Thong.

This year's theme, Through the Decades: From Vinyl to Viral, celebrates 150 years of Coogee Public School, and we'd love to see every year group and every part of our school community represented on stage. You don’t need to be a seasoned performer. This night is all about getting involved, having fun and celebrating our amazing community.

The Big Thong is one of the few nights each year that’s just for the adults in our school community. A chance for parents, carers and school staff to let our hair down, have a laugh and celebrate everything that makes our school such a special place.

Perform on your own, grab a few friends for a group song, or if you play an instrument, join the band for just one or two songs—you don’t need to commit to the whole set.

We’re keen to receive entries by Friday 24 July, after which we’ll confirm song allocations and rehearsal dates. There’s still plenty of time before the event on 23 October to rehearse and have some fun.

To enter, send your song choices via WhatsApp to Chio by 6.00 pm on Friday 24 July with:

• The name(s) of the singer(s)

• Their child(ren)’s name(s) and class(es)

• Your top 2 song choices, in order of preference
